3.6 Working Collaboratively … and the Fourth Matrix Movie

In this episode we only have one guest … and a happy host who gets to speak as a guest for the first time as well! Jessica and Andy are talking about their experience in putting together an article. Nonviolent Utopias: heroes transgressing the gender binary in the Matrix Resurrections is a must-read, before or after you listen to this episode … especially because it is the result of fun academic work! (And because it will show you why Matrix 4 in fact, is much better than everyone says.)

Andy Porter (he/him) is a PhD researcher at the University of Strathclyde.  His thesis is focused on self-branding as a tool of commodified masculinity construction, and his broader research interests include social media, digital cultures, masculinities, identity formation and curation, and film.

You should know Jessica 😉 she is the founder of En-Gender, scholar in Religion, Gender and Postcolonial Studies.
